Delete Your Account
We’re sorry to see you go. This page explains how to request deletion of your BeanThere account and what happens to your data.
How to Request Account Deletion
Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
Open BeanThere, go to Profile → Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap “Delete Account”. Since you’re already logged in, your account and all associated data will be deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request via Email
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email from the email address registered to your BeanThere account to hello@beanthere.dev with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
You must email us from the same email address you used to create your BeanThere account so we can verify your identity and locate your data.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account and profile information (email, display name, profile photo)
- All nutrition entries and food logs
- Saved meal templates
- Water intake records
- Custom Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) settings
- Achievement progress and unlocked achievements
- Friend connections and friend requests
- AI-generated nutrition tips
- Any subscription data stored by BeanThere
What Data May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained after account deletion in the following cases:
- Subscription records — If you have an active subscription managed through Apple or Google, you must cancel it separately through your device’s subscription settings. BeanThere does not have the ability to cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions on your behalf.
- Legal obligations — We may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
Processing Time
Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.
Before You Delete
Please note that account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before requesting deletion:
- Cancel any active subscriptions through your device’s App Store or Google Play settings
- Export any nutrition data you wish to keep
